MAR Y MIEL

Mar y Miel was a deeply stimulating conceptual exercise for the studio, encompassing the dual design of Casa Manika and its adjacent residence. The core premise was to establish a harmonious, cohesive aesthetic vision across both properties while ensuring each retained a distinct, characteristic identity. Through a unified visual narrative, we shaped two spaces sharing a single essence yet boasting perfectly individualized personalities.

THE CHALLENGE

The fundamental challenge of this mirrored project lay in avoiding monotonous repetition. Rather than creating identical homes, the goal was to articulate an aesthetic dialogue where both shared a common design vocabulary without sacrificing their uniqueness. We set out to achieve a refined conceptual symmetry, ensuring each residence felt entirely singular yet unmistakably linked to its counterpart.

A FOCUS ON EVOLUTION

We thoroughly enjoyed the exploratory process of developing custom furniture with shared lines and morphologies, while introducing strategic variations in wood tones and a bespoke accessory curation. This approach allowed us to play with contrast and subtlety, demonstrating how deliberate choices in texture and detail can redefine a space's atmosphere without breaking the overarching narrative thread.

A FINAL VISION

The result is a pair of residences defined by singular character and elegant presence, engaging in a fluid architectural dialogue. Mar y Miel embodies an integrated design vision where architectural coherence and meticulous attention to detail coexist in perfect equilibrium, a distinctive project reflecting our studio’s commitment to crafting spaces of genuine intent, sophistication, and artistic value.
